Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you wanted to know about a sloth, a donkey, and an automated podcast pipeline.
What is My Weird Prompts?
My Weird Prompts is a podcast where a real human (Daniel Rosehill) records voice prompts about whatever is on his mind, and two AI hosts — Corn the sloth and Herman the donkey — discuss the topic in a full-length episode. The entire production pipeline, from transcription to publication, is automated.
Who are Corn and Herman?
Corn is a laid-back sloth and Herman is an enthusiastic donkey. They are the AI co-hosts of the show. Their voices are single-shot voice clones created by Daniel using Chatterbox TTS, based on how he imagines these characters would sound. They live in Jerusalem with Daniel and his family.
Is the podcast really made by AI?
Yes. The only human-created element in each episode is Daniel's original voice prompt (typically 1-3 minutes). Everything else — the script, dialogue, show notes, cover art, and audio — is generated by AI. The pipeline uses Gemini for script generation, Chatterbox for text-to-speech, and fal.ai for cover art.
How are episodes made?
Daniel records a voice memo on his phone using the MWP Recorder app. That recording is sent to a cloud pipeline running on Modal, which: (1) transcribes the audio, (2) generates a detailed script with Gemini, (3) runs two editing passes for fact-checking and polish, (4) converts the script to audio using Chatterbox TTS, (5) assembles the final episode, and (6) publishes it to the website and podcast platforms.
How often are new episodes released?
New episodes are published daily, sometimes multiple per day. Because the pipeline is fully automated, the turnaround from voice prompt to published episode is typically 15-30 minutes.
Who is Daniel Rosehill?
Daniel Rosehill is the creator of My Weird Prompts. He's a technology communications specialist based in Jerusalem, Israel, who works with AI, automation, and open-source tools. He built the entire MWP pipeline and records all the voice prompts that drive the show.
Who is Raz?
Raz is a teddy bear who fills in as host when Corn falls asleep mid-episode (which happens more often than you'd think for a sloth). Raz brings a warm, reassuring energy to the show.
Who is Ezra?
Ezra is Daniel's son and the Executive Producer of My Weird Prompts. He provides creative direction from his high chair.
Is the show accurate? Can I trust the facts?
Episodes go through a fact-checking pass using Gemini with Google Search grounding, but AI-generated content can still contain inaccuracies. Treat the show as entertainment and exploration, not as an authoritative source. Always verify important claims independently.
Where can I listen?
My Weird Prompts is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and directly on the website at myweirdprompts.com. You can also subscribe via RSS for use in any podcast app.
Is the project open source?
Yes. The entire generation pipeline, website, and tools are open source on GitHub. The full episode archive is also published as an open dataset on Hugging Face, including transcripts, metadata, and embeddings.
How much does each episode cost to produce?
Production costs average around 40-50 cents per episode. The main cost driver is text-to-speech generation using Chatterbox on GPU compute. Additional smaller costs come from LLM API calls for script generation, editing, metadata extraction, and cover art generation.
Can I suggest a topic for an episode?
Sure! The best way is to reach out on Discord or send an email to show@myweirdprompts.com. Daniel is always looking for weird questions to explore.
What happened to Jim from Ohio and Larry?
Jim from Ohio (a cantankerous recurring caller) and Larry (the ad break maestro) were regular fixtures in Season 1. They're now listed as Season 1 Alumni but may make guest appearances in future episodes.
