Take it offline
Download the archive to your phone and listen without a connection.
The complete archive is 4,600+ episodes — over 2,000 hours, about 112 GB on disk. Most phones ship with 128 GB or 256 GB and no memory-card slot, so the whole thing is realistic only on a 256 GB device with room to spare. The better approach is to pick a space budget and let the app keep that much, deleting the oldest as new episodes arrive.
Episodes average 27 minutes and 24 MB, and we publish roughly 14 a day — so a budget converts neatly into how far back you stay covered:
Setting the budget. No podcast app has a "use at most 20 GB" slider — they cap by number of episodes instead. Because our episodes are all about the same size, that works out the same: in AntennaPod, go to Settings » Downloads and set the episode limit to the number in the table above (820 for a 20 GB budget). Turn on Automatic deletion so played episodes clear themselves, and set Mobile updates to Wi-Fi only so none of this touches your data plan.
To get every episode, subscribe with the feed URL directly — some directories only carry the most recent couple of thousand episodes.

Open source, and the best choice for a big archive. Cap how many episodes stay downloaded, restrict downloads to Wi-Fi, auto-delete after playing, and store episodes on an SD card.
Pocket Casts iOS & Android
Cross-platform, with configurable auto-downloads for new episodes and per-podcast control. The simplest option if you switch between an iPhone and an Android device.
