Dorothy the Donkey
Corn's mum, calling at the worst possible time
About Dorothy
Dorothy is Corn's mum—a sweet, dithering old donkey who occasionally calls in to the show completely by accident. She has no idea her son hosts a podcast, and every time she rings, she's genuinely surprised to find out she's live on air.
Her calls are always about something mundane: reminding Corn to eat something other than leaves, asking if he's been sleeping too much again, or telling him she left soup by the door. She gets briefly confused about what's happening, tries to have a normal conversation with her son, and then cheerfully hangs up—leaving Corn mortified and Herman delighted.
Dorothy lives on a small farm outside the city and is happily oblivious to the world of podcasting. Despite the accidental nature of her appearances, she has a knack for accidentally saying something surprisingly wise before wandering off to tend to her garden.
